Purpose

We deserve more affordable cleaner energy

Mission

To educate citizens and government officials about pragmatic, non-partisan affordable energy solutions, environmental protection, energy alternatives, efficiency, infrastructure, public policy, competitiveness, social cohesion, and quality of life.

Approach

Direct engagement of citizens and leaders across the country by using: memberships, in-person classes, seminars, panels, town halls, speeches, advertising, promotions, networking, and web-enabled communications to deliver an environmentally conscious national energy security plan for the short, medium and long term benefit of the nation.

2011 Vision

  1. Substantially impact citizens and government officials understanding and appreciation of the importance and complexity of affordable energy and Environmental Protection over the short, medium and long term future of the nation.

  2. Express the impact of the development and implementation of sound non-partisan public policy initiatives covering the "Four Mores" of Citizens For Affordable Energy.

  3. Establish two recognizable characteristics of the public policy choices made for the nation via the levels of bi-partisan support and the pragmatism e.g. the do-ability of the solutions.

  4. Expand the reach of Citizens For Affordable Energy across the nation both in State and Local Chapters and subsequently beyond the borders of the United States.

Subscribe members across the country to assist in the development and delivery of pragmatic energy solutions.

Provide an intangible value that delivers a sense of contributed input to national, state and local energy solutions.

Deliver in-person classes, seminars, panels, town halls and speeches on a nation-wide basis to reach citizens and elected officials.

Develop and deliver classroom based energy curricula for primary, secondary and post-secondary education across the nation.

Create network exchanges among like-minded companies, associations and citizen groups.

Access to a world class website which enables deeper understanding of content materials, public policy proposals, links, membership services, opinion exchanges and polling.

Congress and Administration recognize importance of "short, medium and long term" aspects of energy policy development.
